Enkidu’s Death
The deaths of Humbaba and the Bull of Heaven incite the anger
of the Gods.  They decide that one of the heroes must pay with
his life.  Enlil, the King of the Gods, orders the death of Enkidu
and thereupon Enkidu is struck with a fever. 
After 12 days of agony, he dies.
